This policy explains what personal information Jagvir Taxi Service collects when you use this website or book a taxi with us, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It is written to meet India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
- Booking details you give us: your name, phone number, pickup and drop locations, travel date and time, number of passengers and luggage, flight number, and any notes you add.
- Messages and calls: what you send us on WhatsApp, by phone, by email or through the chat window on the website.
- Technical information: for forms sent to our website, the date and time, your IP address and browser type, to prevent spam and abuse.
- Website usage: pages visited and buttons clicked, collected through Google Analytics using cookies.
How the booking form works
The "Book Your Ride" form on our pages does not store your details on our website. When you press "Send Booking on WhatsApp", it opens WhatsApp on your device with your details already typed in. Nothing is sent until you press send in WhatsApp. WhatsApp's own privacy policy then applies to that message.
Why we use your information
- To confirm your booking, assign a car and driver, and share the driver's details with you.
- To contact you about your trip: pickup timing, flight delays and changes.
- To keep records of trips for accounts, tax and safety purposes.
- To understand which pages are useful and improve the website.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not send marketing messages unless you ask us to.
Who we share it with
- Your driver receives your name, phone number, pickup point and trip timing.
- Service providers that help run the website and communication: our web host, Google (Analytics and Maps), WhatsApp/Meta, and Tawk.to (website chat).
- Authorities, only where the law requires it.
Cookies
The website uses cookies from Google Analytics to count visits, and from the chat service so a conversation continues between pages. Embedded Google Maps may also set cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them.
How long we keep it
Booking records are kept for as long as needed for accounts and legal requirements, usually up to 3 years, and then deleted. Website analytics data is kept according to Google Analytics retention settings, 14 months by default.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it where we are not required to keep it. You can also withdraw consent for future use. Send your request to the contact details below and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
Bookings should be made by adults. If a child travels, a parent or guardian makes the booking.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
