One-way and round-trip cabs to Chandigarh Airport from across Punjab
Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport (IXC) sits at Mohali, on the south-west edge of the Chandigarh tricity. Jagvir Taxi Service runs airport transfers to IXC from towns right across Punjab — Malwa, Doaba and Majha — with clean vehicles, experienced highway drivers and pickups timed around your actual flight.
This page covers the towns we serve on request. Several routes have their own detailed page; those are linked further down. For everything else, the table below gives the approximate road distance, the usual driving time and the main corridor we take.
Call or WhatsApp +91 72680 42000 to confirm a pickup time for your flight.

These are our most frequently booked Chandigarh Airport runs, each with fuller detail on pickup points and timing:
Timing your pickup for a flight from IXC
Chandigarh airport does not operate through the night, so there are no red-eye departures to plan around. What it does have is a busy first wave of morning departures, and that is what drives most of our bookings — a 06:00 to 07:00 departure means a very early start from Doaba or Malwa.
As a working rule we aim to have you at the terminal 2 hours before a domestic departure and 3 hours before an international departure, then add the driving time from the table above, then add a margin for the season. For a 06:15 departure from Sangrur that means a pickup at roughly 01:00–01:30.
Tell us your flight number when you book and we will work the pickup time back from it rather than guessing.
Seasonal conditions on the Punjab–Chandigarh corridors
December and January — dense fog. This is the single biggest factor on the NH44 and NH5 corridors. Visibility on the Ludhiana–Khanna–Kharar stretch can drop sharply before dawn, and Chandigarh airport itself sees delays, diversions and cancellations on the worst mornings. In fog season we add a substantial margin to the drive and recommend checking your flight status before leaving home.
October and November — smoke haze. Stubble burning reduces visibility on GT Road, particularly in the early morning.
Festival and mela traffic. The Sirhind and Fatehgarh Sahib stretch is heavily congested around the Shaheedi Jor Mela in late December. The Ropar and Anandpur Sahib approach is busy during Hola Mohalla in March, which affects the Rupnagar and Nawanshahr routes. Maghi Mela at Muktsar in mid-January and Baisakhi in April also add traffic on the Malwa corridors.
April and October harvest. Tractor–trolley traffic slows GT Road noticeably.
Occasional highway blockades near Shambhu on the Ambala side can close the main corridor at short notice; our drivers reroute via Patiala or Rajpura when that happens.
At the airport
IXC is approached from the Mohali and Aerocity side, not from central Chandigarh — the drive in is via Airport Road past Aerocity rather than through Sector 17. For departures we drop at the terminal forecourt. For arrivals, tell us your flight number and the driver tracks it, so a delayed landing does not mean a missed pickup. Our driver meets you outside the arrivals gate; if the wait is long the car waits in the designated parking area rather than circling.
Vehicles
We match the vehicle to the group size and the amount of luggage, which matters on a long airport run:
- Sedan (Swift Dzire, Etios) — up to 4 passengers with moderate luggage. Suits couples and small families.
- Ertiga — up to 6 passengers, more boot space than a sedan.
- Innova / Innova Crysta — up to 6 or 7 passengers with full luggage. The usual choice for international departures where everyone has a large suitcase.
- Tempo Traveller — larger groups travelling together.
Tell us the number of passengers and suitcases when booking and we will advise which vehicle actually fits — an airport run is the wrong place to discover the boot is too small.
Frequently asked questions
How early should the taxi pick me up?
Work back from your flight: 2 hours at the terminal for domestic, 3 hours for international, plus the driving time from the table above, plus a fog margin in December and January. Give us your flight number and we will set the time.
Do you run at 2am and 3am?
Yes. Most of our Chandigarh Airport bookings are early-morning pickups for the first wave of departures, and we run 24/7.
Is this a one-way service, or do I pay for the return?
We offer both one-way drops and round trips. On a one-way drop the vehicle still has to return, so a one-way is not simply half a round trip — we will explain exactly what your booking covers before you confirm.
What if my flight is delayed or diverted?
For arrival pickups we track the flight, so a delay is handled. For departures in fog season we recommend checking status before leaving, and we will re-plan the pickup with you if the flight moves.
Can you pick up from my home or a landmark?
Yes — door pickup from home, or a named landmark such as a bus stand, railway station or hotel if that is easier. Tell us the address when booking.
My town is not in the table. Do you still cover it?
Very likely yes. Call or WhatsApp +91 72680 42000 and we will confirm.
