Chandigarh Airport to Jalandhar Taxi Service

What happens when you land

1. Before you fly – send us your flight number, scheduled landing time and the number of bags. If you are connecting from abroad, send the last leg only.

3. Landing – the pickup is planned around your flight's landing time, not the time you booked. If your flight is delayed, let us know or just switch on your phone after landing; the driver waits.
4. Meeting point – the driver waits in the arrivals area on the Mohali side. Call him once you have your bags and he will guide you to the car.
5. Loading up – he helps with the trolley and suitcases and you are on the road.

International arrivals

Chandigarh has flights from Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. Immigration and baggage can take a while, especially when two Gulf flights land close together. There is no need to rush; the driver knows international passengers come out later than domestic ones. Many Doaba families flying back from Canada, the UK or Europe on a Gulf connection land here, because it is nearer to Jalandhar than Delhi.

The road home

From the airport the car heads to Kharar and then takes either the Samrala road to Ludhiana or the Sirhind–Khanna route onto NH44. From Ludhiana it is up NH44 across the Sutlej at Ladhowal, through Phagwara and past LPU into Jalandhar. A tea or meal stop is no trouble; after a long flight most passengers want one. If you land late at night, the highway is quieter and the drive often goes faster, though fog in December and January can slow it.

Stops people ask for on the way

After a long flight, the requests are usually practical. A meal at a highway dhaba near Ludhiana. A cash machine, or a shop to buy an Indian SIM card. A short halt to drop a relative in Phagwara. A quick visit to a gurdwara before reaching home. None of these is a problem; mention them when booking or simply tell the driver, and he will stop at a suitable place.
