A Punjabi wedding is not one car for one day. It is relatives landing at three different airports, a baraat that needs to move together, a shuttle between the palace and the hotel, and a decorated car for the doli at the end. We supply sedans, Innova Crystas and Tempo Travellers in Jalandhar for all of it, booked as one plan.

The jobs cars do at a wedding

Before thinking about which vehicles, list what needs moving. Most families we work with end up needing some mix of these:

  • Guest arrivals: relatives from Canada, the UK or the Gulf landing at Delhi, Amritsar or Chandigarh in the days before the wedding.
  • Baraat transport: moving the groom's side from home to the venue together, often from a village to a city palace or the other way round.
  • Venue shuttles: taking guests between hotels, the gurdwara for the Anand Karaj, and the reception venue.
  • The couple's car: a clean, decorated car for the groom and later for the doli and vidaai.
  • Errands: collecting the halwai's order, fetching the photographer, running elderly relatives home early.
  • Departures: getting guests back to the airport once it is all over.

The fleet and what each car is good for

VehicleSeatsBest wedding use
Swift Dzire, Honda Amaze, Toyota Etios4 passengersCouple's car with decoration, errands, small family groups
Innova Crysta, Toyota Innova6–7 passengersGroom's car, elderly relatives, airport pickups with heavy luggage
Mahindra Marazzo6–7 passengersFamily groups, venue shuttles
Tempo Traveller12 or 17 seatsBaraat, guest shuttles between hotel and venue, group airport runs

We keep it honest: these are the vehicles we run. We do not offer vintage cars, convertibles or luxury limousines. What we do offer is clean, air-conditioned cars that turn up on time and drivers who understand how a wedding day runs.

Decoration

Flower decoration for the couple's car is available on request. Tell us the colour scheme and how much you want on the car, and we will arrange it before the car reaches you. Some families prefer to have their own florist decorate the car on the morning; that works too, just tell us where and when the car should be parked. On the day, the driver keeps the car clean, parks close to the entrance where the venue allows it, and stays with the car through the ceremony so it is ready when the couple come out.

NRI weddings

A lot of Doaba weddings involve a bride or groom coming home from abroad, with half the guest list flying in. That is where planning the cars early pays off. Send us a list of arrivals with flight numbers, and we schedule each pickup so you are not sending cousins to Delhi at 2 a.m. Each guest gets the driver's name and number on WhatsApp before they fly. For the long Delhi runs, see the Delhi airport to Jalandhar pickup; for shorter ones, the Amritsar airport pickup and the Chandigarh airport to Jalandhar run. Our NRI family page covers what to send us for each arrival.

Multi-day bookings

Wedding functions often run across three or four days: the roka or shagun, the jaggo, the mehndi, the Anand Karaj and the reception. You can keep a car and driver for the whole stretch rather than booking each day separately. The driver learns the family, the venues and who needs picking up from where, which saves a lot of phone calls. Night duty, driver meals and stay, tolls and parking are all discussed and confirmed at booking.

A simple planning order

  1. Fix the dates and venues for each function.
  2. Count guests who need transport each day, and note who is elderly or travelling with small children.
  3. Collect flight details for every outstation and overseas guest.
  4. Decide which car is for the couple and whether it needs decoration.
  5. WhatsApp us the full list; we suggest the vehicles and send one confirmed plan with the quote.
  6. A day or two before, check the driver names and numbers we send and share them with the family members in charge.

Wedding season dates in Punjab fill up quickly, especially November to February, so earlier is better, particularly for Tempo Travellers.

Around Jalandhar on the day

We know the city's palace and banquet belts, the roads that jam on a Saturday evening around BMC Chowk and Rama Mandi, and how long a baraat really takes to cross town. Village weddings are no problem; the driver will coordinate on the phone for the last stretch. For guests who need a car for local trips between functions, our local taxi in Jalandhar can be booked by the hour or day.

Book the wedding cars

Call or WhatsApp +91 72680 42000 with your dates, venues and a rough guest count. We work 24/7, so late-night arrivals and early-morning departures are covered. We confirm the vehicles and the quote in advance.

We have 12-seater and 17-seater Tempo Travellers. More than one can be booked together for a larger baraat, subject to availability.
