• Book ahead for the last day of a programme. Cars fill up quickly.
• Share a clear meeting point outside the dera, since the area near the gates gets crowded when a programme ends. The driver will call you when he is close.
• If you are travelling with older family members, tell us and we will keep the stops frequent.
• Foreign visitors flying out the same night should leave a generous margin; the road from Beas to Delhi is long.

How far and how long

Beas to Delhi airport is roughly 430 km, about 7 and a half hours of driving. The car follows the GT Road through Kartarpur to Jalandhar, then the GT Road through Phagwara, Ludhiana, Khanna, Rajpura and the Shambhu border into Haryana. After Ambala, Karnal, Panipat and Sonipat comes Murthal, the regular food stop. The last leg into the airport depends on traffic at that hour.

Pickup points around Beas

Besides the dera area, we collect from Beas town, Beas railway station, homes along the GT Road, and villages towards Baba Bakala and the river side. Hotels and guest houses in the area also work as pickup points.

Setting the departure time

International passengers need to reach Terminal 3 about 3 hours before departure; for domestic flights, about 2 hours is fine. From Beas, add around 9 hours for the drive, a meal break and traffic. A 2 AM flight means leaving around 2 to 3 PM. An 11 PM flight means leaving around 9 to 10 AM the same day. Send your flight number and we will confirm the pickup time with you.

The right car for the group

Dera visitors often travel in groups of relatives or friends. A sedan such as a Swift Dzire, Honda Amaze or Toyota Etios takes up to four with light luggage. An Innova, Innova Crysta or Marazzo seats six or seven and has room for the big suitcases of anyone flying overseas. Larger groups can take a 12-seater or 17-seater Tempo Traveller. All cars are air-conditioned.
