Beas to Delhi NCR Taxi Service

Most cars we send from Beas to Delhi are carrying sangat. Families from Delhi, Gurugram, Noida and Faridabad come to the Radha Soami Satsang dera for satsang and seva, and when it is over they want to go home in one car, without changing at a station. The drive is about 420 km and roughly 7 hours 30 minutes to Delhi.

Satsang days and leaving the dera

On big satsang days a lot of traffic leaves the dera at the same time, and the local roads near the gates and the GT Road junction fill up quickly. Two things help:

• Tell us the exact gate or parking area you will come out of, and send a live location on WhatsApp when you are ready.
• If you are not in a hurry, wait an hour after the programme ends. The car gets onto the GT Road much faster and you lose very little overall.

The driver's name and number are sent to you on WhatsApp before the trip, so you can call him directly when you are walking out.

Groups from the dera

Sangat rarely travels alone. If you are four people, a Swift Dzire, Honda Amaze or Toyota Etios is enough. For six or seven with bedding and bags from a stay at the dera, take a Toyota Innova, Innova Crysta or Mahindra Marazzo. For bigger groups we run a 12-seater and a 17-seater Tempo Traveller, which keeps the whole family together. Every vehicle is air-conditioned.

Dropping different people at different NCR addresses

The road from Beas

Beas town sits right on the GT Road, close to the bridge over the Beas river, so there is no side road to deal with. The car runs through Kartarpur, Jalandhar, Phagwara, past the Ladhowal toll near Ludhiana, then Khanna, Rajpura and over the Haryana border near Shambhu. After Ambala it is Karnal, Panipat and Sonipat, with the Murthal dhabas as the usual meal stop. From Murthal it is about an hour into Delhi.

When to start

If the satsang ends in the morning and you leave by noon, you will reach Delhi around 8 pm, which is right in the evening peak. Starting either earlier, or late enough to arrive after about 9 pm, makes the last part far easier. For people who stay over at the dera, a 4 or 5 am start gets you home by early afternoon.

Not only for the dera

Families from Beas town and the villages around it also book this route for visa appointments in Delhi, hospital visits to AIIMS or Medanta, and weddings in NCR. We pick up from home, from the Beas railway station, or anywhere nearby. For a visa slot in the morning, an overnight start around 1 am is the safe choice.
